Betty Ray Watkins was selected as Teacher of
the month by her students. Mrs. Watkins was said to "never refuse a student's need for help." Mrs. Watkins has over 33 years of teaching experience with 26 years of that at Brookwood High School. She teaches math to students in grades nine through twelve.
Jim Walter Resources adopted Brookwood High School in 1986 and sponsors the Student and Teacher of the Month.
